Nios Admission Information
1. Streams for Admission
- Stream 1: Fresh admissions for Class 10 (Secondary) & Class 12 (Senior Secondary).
- Stream 2: For students who failed or wish to improve their performance.
- Stream 3 & 4: On-Demand Examination for Class 10 & 12 (for students who want to appear for exams anytime).
2. Eligibility Criteria
- For Class 10 (Secondary):
- Minimum age: 14 years
- Must have completed Class 8 or equivalent
- For Class 12 (Senior Secondary):
- Minimum age: 15 years
- Must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board
3. Required Documents
- Aadhar Card
- Birth Certificate (for Class 10)
- Previous Class Marksheet
- Passport-size Photographs
- Address Proof
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
4. Admission Dates
NIOS conducts admissions in two blocks:
- Block 1: March/April Exams
